• SYSMNT is an Odoo Gold Partner delivering ERP implementations across the Kingdom, working with clients in retail, hospitality, fuel and energy, manufacturing, and professional services.
• We're looking for a developer to build and maintain the custom modules, integrations, and localization work behind our client implementations. You'll work directly alongside our functional consultants, turning business requirements into clean, upgrade-safe Odoo code.
• This is a hands-on technical role with real ownership. We expect solid Python, working command of the Odoo framework, curiosity about how businesses actually operate, and the discipline to write code that survives the next version upgrade.

Responsibilities

Module Development

• Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules: models, views, security rules, workflows
• Translate functional specifications into clean, upgrade-safe code
• Extend standard functionality through inheritance rather than forking it
• Build QWeb reports and OWL / JavaScript front-end components

Localization

• Develop and maintain ZATCA e-invoicing integrations (Fatoora Phase 2): device onboarding, clearance, reporting, and QR generation
• Implement Saudi VAT, withholding tax, and Zakat requirements at the code level
• Build Arabic RTL layouts, bilingual reports, and correctly rendered invoice templates
• Keep localization modules current as ZATCA requirements change

Integration

• Implement integrations with third-party systems via XML-RPC, JSON-RPC, and REST
• Connect Odoo to banking, payment gateways, POS hardware, logistics providers, and government portals
• Handle authentication, retries, and failure states so integrations degrade gracefully rather than silently

Data & Performance

• Write data migration and version upgrade scripts
• Debug, profile, and optimize PostgreSQL queries and server performance
• Diagnose production issues under real data volumes

Quality & Collaboration

• Review code, write tests, and maintain technical documentation
• Work directly with functional consultants to understand business context, not just tickets
• Flag when a requirement should be solved by configuration instead of custom code

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2–4 years hands-on Odoo development experience
• Strong Python and object-oriented programming
• Solid command of the Odoo ORM, models, security rules, and workflows
• XML views, QWeb reports, and Odoo Studio
• JavaScript and the OWL framework
• PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization
• Git and disciplined version control practice
• Experience delivering API integrations (XML-RPC / JSON-RPC / REST)
• Arabic and English, written and spoken
• Strong ethics and professional judgment

Nice to Have

• ZATCA e-invoicing implementation experience
• Odoo certification (v17 or later)
• Version upgrade and data migration experience
• odoo.sh or self-hosted deployment and CI/CD
• Accounting or cost accounting awareness
• Exposure to POS, Manufacturing, or Logistics modules
• Docker and Linux server administration
• Arabic RTL interface and report development
• GCC e-invoicing beyond ZATCA
