The Role

You'll lead Odoo implementations end to end: discovery through go-live and into stabilization. That means running the workshops, designing the solution, configuring the system, managing the data migration, training the key users, and being the person the client calls when something isn't right.

The work is functional-first but not functional-only. You'll be specifying integrations, reasoning about data models, and working closely with our technical team on anything that standard Odoo can't cover.

Responsibilities

Implementation Delivery

  • Lead Odoo implementations from discovery to go-live and post-launch support
  • Run requirement-gathering and fit-gap workshops with client stakeholders
  • Design solutions that favor standard functionality over customization, and make the case for it
  • Own project scope, timeline, and delivery quality across your engagements

Configuration & Solution Design

  • Configure Accounting, Inventory, Purchase, Sales, POS, Manufacturing, and Logistics
  • Design multi-company and intercompany structures, including consolidation and cross-company flows
  • Build chart of accounts, tax structures, and financial reporting aligned to client requirements
  • Configure warehouse operations, routing rules, and costing methods

Saudi Localization & Compliance

  • Implement ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoora Phase 2) including device onboarding, clearance, and reporting
  • Configure Saudi VAT, withholding tax, and Zakat requirements
  • Set up Arabic and bilingual document templates, invoices, and reports
  • Keep implementations current as ZATCA requirements evolve

Data, Testing & Handover

  • Plan and execute data migration from legacy systems, including cleansing and validation
  • Design and run UAT cycles with client key users
  • Deliver key-user training and produce training materials
  • Provide go-live and hypercare support

Integration

  • Specify and test API integrations with third-party systems: banking, payment gateways, POS hardware, logistics providers, government portals
  • Work with the technical team to scope and validate custom development
  • Define integration requirements clearly enough that developers can build from them

Client Ownership

  • Act as the primary client-facing consultant throughout the engagement
  • Document configurations, decisions, and functional specifications
  • Manage expectations and escalate scope changes early rather than absorbing them quietly

Requirements

  • BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field
  • 4+ years implementing Odoo in a functional consulting role
  • Odoo Functional Certification (v17 or later)
  • Strong accounting foundation: general ledger, AR/AP, period closing, financial reporting
  • Hands-on multi-company and intercompany implementation experience
  • Solid grasp of Inventory, Purchase, Sales, and at least one of POS or Manufacturing
  • ZATCA e-invoicing implementation experience
  • Working knowledge of Saudi VAT and Zakat requirements
  • Experience specifying and delivering API integrations
  • Fluent Arabic and English, written and spoken
  • Comfortable leading client meetings and holding your position with senior stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Cost accounting depth: standard costing, land costs, analytic accounting
  • Odoo Studio, and basic Python, XML, or QWeb for report and view adjustments
  • Manufacturing depth (MRP, work centers, subcontracting) or fuel and retail POS experience
  • Certifications on earlier Odoo versions
  • Delivery experience across multiple industries
  • Project management background (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile)
  • Exposure to GCC e-invoicing beyond ZATCA
  • Egyptian tax localization, if you've worked that market
